Be sure to visit the Meadows Club web site (meadowsclub.org) to keep up on current events, and Club policies and procedures. Also we have created three e-mail lists. One is for general club information, one for tennis information and one for swimming information. If you are interested in being added to any or all of these lists, please contact the front office and the receptionists will add you to the list(s).

(On Saturdays of home swim meets the pool will open about 30 minutes after the meet ends). Tennis court reservations are for one and one-half hours beginning at 7:00 AM. The court lights go out at 10:00 PM.

MEMBERSHIP

As I write this newsletter we are at full capacity for family (250), single (50) and junior ( 50) memberships, and have waitlists of 125, 15, and 18, for each type of membership respectively.

SOCIAL

Thanks to the following members for organizing and running the several social events we have had so far: Audrey Irwin and Sara Oclassen for a very successful Spring Fling tennis tournament and cocktail party, Jon Goodman and Richard Leddon, for the terrific Father's Day tournament enjoyed by 23 adult and child teams (the weather was great, and the tennis and food were appreciated by all), and Sara Oclassen and Dee Perry for the great Women's Macha tournament.

DIRECTORIES

The 2007 membership directories will be available soon at the front desk. The limit is one per membership please.

TENNIS

We are having another great year in tennis. Adult and junior leagues are rocking. Anyone interested in learning more about leagues and clinics contact Doug. We would like to welcome Judy Savage's new 2.5 team to the mix. Good luck.....we are all counting on you. Some tennis workouts to look for are Saturday Drills with "Sheriff Jeff from 9:00 am to 10:15am for the 2.5-3.0 and 10:30 to 11:45 for the rest of the planet. Feel free to drop in. Also there is cardio tennis Wednesday mornings at 10:30 so dust off your leg warmers and stretch first... Jeff has got that one covered. Make sure that all tennis lessons, clinics and leagues are paid to Kazarosian LLC because we do not bill for tennis. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated. Anyone interested hi lessons or clinics feel free to contact Doug at 303-494-0410 or at tenniskaz@yahoo.com. Have fun and see you on the courts.

SWIMMING

Swim lessons and swim team are off to a great start this year. There is one session of swim lessons remaining this summer. It starts on July 9th.  The lessons are from 10:30 to 11:00 and from 11:00 to 11:30 AM. Sign up in advance at the front desk.  The swim team has won two of its first three meets this summer against the BCC, the Flyers and Fox Hill. As I write this newsletter the swim team is preparing for three more meets against Mesa, the Elks, and Louisville. Spaghetti dinners, night practices, swim clinics, Funday Mondays, and many other events continue to make the swim team a favorite activity. Watch the swim team bulletin board or read Shane's very detailed e-mails.

MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER

Although I don't have the space to name all of them, I would like to acknowledge all the members who volunteer to help run the social events, the swim and tennis meets, and other Meadows Club functions. We had over 40 individuals help with our spring clean up and it certainly made a big difference. Please remember that the Meadows Club is a non-smoking facility, now in accordance with state law and, as cute as they are, please do not bring dogs or other pets to the Club. We would also ask that you be considerate of others when using cell phones. Hearing the Stars and Stripes Forever in the middle of a serve during a tiebreaker is, surprisingly, not appreciated by all. Please do not drive into the Club parking lot through the exit driveway. It may be difficult to see a child on a bicycle coming out of the parking lot through the exit. Finally, please help to keep the Club clean by disposing of trash properly and using the eco cycle containers where provided, especially on the tennis courts. Thanks.

We are again fortunate to have a great staff this year. Please take minute, especially new members, to introduce yourself to the receptionists, the tennis staff, the maintenance crew, the lifeguards and the swim coaches.

As usual, please remember to turn off the lights and lock up if you are the last person to leave the Club. Thanks
