General Business:

The following nominations were made and accepted for 2008 Meadows Club Board officers:

President – Curt Corrigan

Vice President – Dee Perry

Secretary – Audrey Irwin

Treasurer – Steve Boselli

All nominations unanimously approved by the Board for new 2008 officers.

The following committees were formed and staffed:

Building and Grounds – Louis Beaupre

Swim – Steve Boselli and Audrey Irwin

Tennis – Ann Goldfarb, Dee Perry, Richard Leddon

Social – To be determined

The social committee is a work in progress. The Board needs to determine the dates for the events and send out an email to the general membership for help coordinating the events. Board will also develop a list of responsibilities and requirements for volunteers. Social committee will lead this effort.

Board is going to review and update the welcome process for new members. Suggested that a Board members call each new member.

Ann Goldfarb will lead the update of the Club Rules.

Platform Tennis has initiated the application process with the City. Need to find a lighting contractor such as Renner that will advocate for the Club during the City’s process.

Dale presented his final projection for 2008. Taxable income was eliminated with the purchase of new grills for $3500, tree trimming for $16,000, and a new swim team tent for $2400.

Tennis committee will purchase a new tennis ball machine. Curt Corrigan has evaluated several machines and will make a recommendation.

Louis Beaupre will make a recommendation of new tables to be purchased for the clubhouse.

Steve Boselli is leading the development of a 10 year maintenance plan to be funded each year in the operating budget.

In December, Board will consider adding new members or changing the membership dues.

The budget will be adjusted to cover new General Manager salary, tennis coordinator, new computers, and hiring the tennis director as a Meadows Employee. Tennis committee needs to finalize recommendations for tennis director salary and benefits.

Audrey Irwin will have a link attached to the website for members to register to receive emails of the minutes and monthly communication.

“Adverse possession” has been addressed at Meadows. In 1996, the Meadows Club gave a meadow glen neighbor written notice to mitegate any future issues. Board needs to consider that private property signs be updated placed to maintain good relations with neighbors.

Miscellaneous:

Dee Perry gave an update on the search for a General Manager. The committee interviewed three candidates. Each candidate completed a written evaluation, and references were checked. There will be final interviews with the Board at the December Board meeting.

Dee Perry will purchase $100 gift certificate for Sara Oclaussen.

Louie Beaupre will purchase a $100 gift certificate for Jon Goodman.
